If you have a Facebook Bluetooth® beacon, it can help show place tips on Facebook to people visiting your business who have:
- An iPhone 4S or later with Bluetooth® turned on
- The latest version of the Facebook for iOS app
- Location services on their device turned on for Facebook
- Place tips turned on in the Facebook for iOS app

No, you can’t control which place tips we show people who visit your business. Place tips show people who visit your business things like their friends' posts and photos about your business, and posts, upcoming events and other relevant info (ex. popular menu items) from your business’ Page.
The best way to make sure that customers see useful information about your business in place tips is to post to your Page often and make sure that your Page's info is up to date.

Setting Up a Facebook Bluetooth® Beacon
To set up your Facebook Bluetooth® beacon, you'll need to be inside your business and make sure that your Page has a valid location.
To set up your beacon:
- Remove the beacon from its packaging.
- Remove the sticker on the back of the beacon.
- Place the beacon on a clean wall or surface in a safe, central area inside your business.
Note: Facebook Bluetooth® beacons are designed to be active at one place. If you set up your beacon somewhere other than the address associated with your Page, we may detect that it's at the wrong address and turn off place tips for your Page.

A welcome note is a short message to people who visit your business that appears in place tips. You can use it to welcome customers or share useful information.
To add or edit your Page's welcome note:
- Click Settings at the top of your Page
- Click Place Tips in the left column
- Below Add a Welcome Note, choose whether to use your Page's short-description, write a custom message or just show the category of your Page
- Below Add a Photo, choose whether to use your Page's cover photo or add a custom photo
- Click Save
Note: You can see or edit your Page's short-description in the About section of your Page.
